The Gourmet Exchange is a private catering and specialty food business created by Chef James Grier. In 2010 GE launched a product line of infused olive oils which debut at the Goshen Farmers Market, Warwick Applefest and The Harvest Festival at Bethel Woods.
The Gourmet Exchange sets itself apart from other companies in the sense that their products are custom made, packaged and sealed by hand.
The Olive Oil Flavors feature The Herbed Garlic Oreganata, Classic Spanish Oil, Rosemary Fleur de Del, Roasted Garlic Arrabiata, Herbed Italian Peppercorn, and the Tuscan Garlic Oil. The Oils are meant to be used for more than just dipping bread, you can use them in your sauté pan for cooking vegetables, they can be used as a base for sauces, aioli’s, pastes, and they’re great brushed over meats, chicken, and seafood before searing, grilling or sautéing.
In 2015 their product line expanded to include an Asian Honey Mustard, Thai Ginger Dressing, Chili Lime Hot Sauce, Maple Horseradish Dressing and a delicious Spinach Pesto. The sauce flavors and pesto are again unique due to original recipes and they are custom made in small batch quantities.
The concept behind the oils and sauces is to connect with novice, intermediate and serious home cooks. Knowing exactly who is making your product, as opposed to buying from a company whose items are on a shelf for months at a time is what the Gourmet Exchange is all about.
In addition to their Olive Oils and Sauces, The Gourmet Exchange also provides private catering services, featuring seasonal, custom menus. Cuisines range from Asian, Spanish, Italian, Mediterranean, and Modern American foods. If you’re in the mood for a custom menu for yourself, a couple, with friends or a larger party, and you’re looking for something unique, contact Chef James.
We are excited to return to the Goshen Farmers Market this year, interact with the Patrons, Vendors, and would like to thank the Goshen Chamber of Commerce as well.
